Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud infrastructure
- Manage network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restoration procedures
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk with proactive tuning
- Document IT processes and create SOPs for system administration tasks
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex system issues and outages
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server 2019+ and Linux RHEL/CentOS
- Expert knowledge of VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, MCSE, or Linux+ required
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools
- Experience with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Strong problem-solving abilities with SLA-driven mindset
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
