Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux/Windows Server environments across on-premises and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Implement and automate security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk, proactively resolving issues
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and incident response procedures
- Document system configurations and create operational playbooks
- Lead server migrations and capacity planning initiatives
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering enterprise-level Linux and Windows Server environments
- Expert knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM)
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, etc.)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and system issues
