Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server infrastructure across on-premises and AWS environments
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network security protocols (VPN, firewalls)
- Monitor system performance using Nagios/Zabbix; proactively troubleshoot hardware/software issues
- Automate deployment processes using Ansible/Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure 99.9% uptime through backup/DR planning and patch management
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) initiatives
- Document SOPs and create knowledge base articles for IT operations
Qualifications
- 5+ years in system administration with enterprise-level infrastructure
- Expert proficiency in Windows Server 2019+ and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- CCNA/CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Proven experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog)
- Ability to lift 40lbs for hardware maintenance tasks
