The Role:
As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, you will act as the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will monitor security alerts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and lead incident response strategies to ensure business continuity.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks.
- Lead the incident response team during security breaches, coordinating with legal and IT departments to minimize downtime.
- Manage access controls, identity management, and privilege access to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the DevSecOps lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive measures to enhance our defense posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ is required; GRC certifications (CCRC) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related technical role.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proven experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
