Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure solutions across AWS and Azure environments
- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot Linux/Windows servers, ensuring 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Automate deployment pipelines using Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD tools
- Lead security hardening initiatives including vulnerability management and compliance audits
- Document IT infrastructure using Visio, Lucidchart, and Confluence
- Mentor junior sysadmins and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on container orchestration strategies
Qualifications
- 5+ years in system administration with proven cloud expertise (AWS/Azure)
- Advanced proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash) and automation experience
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+) or equivalent experience
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices
- Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and firewalls
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to work on-call rotation and handle critical incidents
