Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Design, implement, and oversee cloud solutions, primarily on AWS, ensuring scalability and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, security, and availability; troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Implement and manage network security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect sensitive data.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan IT upgrades and software deployments.
- Ensure 99.9% uptime for critical business systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy) and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Expert knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls).
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification is a plus.
