Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex server environments including Linux and Windows systems
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and implement proactive solutions
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and hybrid cloud environments
- Ensure robust security protocols including patch management, access control, and compliance audits
- Automate system administration tasks using scripting tools (Python, PowerShell)
- Document system configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration
- Expertise in Linux/Windows Server administration and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Strong knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
- Certification in CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or Microsoft Azure preferred
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
