Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and AWS cloud platforms
- Automate infrastructure workflows using Ansible and Terraform to enhance operational efficiency
- Monitor system health using Nagios and Splunk, proactively resolving performance bottlenecks
- Manage network infrastructure including Cisco firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute quarterly failover testing
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for application deployments
- Document system architecture and create runbooks for critical infrastructure components
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years systems administration)
- Expert proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration
- AWS/Azure certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect) or equivalent cloud expertise
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash) for automation and troubleshooting
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/KVM) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Security-focused mindset with knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and cross-functional communication skills
