Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware vSphere, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Proactively monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk, resolving incidents within SLA targets
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execution with quarterly failover testing
- Automate provisioning and configuration using Ansible/Terraform pipelines
- Collaborate with security teams on vulnerability remediation and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Document architecture changes and create technical SOPs for team knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with hybrid cloud environments
- Expert-level certification in Microsoft Azure or AWS Solutions Architect
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Strong background in network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls)
- Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with proven incident management track record
- Ability to work flexible hours during system maintenance windows
