Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor robust security measures including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM for enterprise environments
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery testing, and incident response protocols
- Optimize system performance through capacity planning, patch management, and automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable IT solutions
- Document infrastructure configurations and create operational procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expert proficiency in Windows Server 2016/2019 and Linux (RHEL/CentOS)
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud infrastructure
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or Linux+) preferred
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation
- Proven troubleshooting skills for complex network and system issues
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration
