Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds; optimize resource allocation
- Execute security protocols, vulnerability assessments, and compliance audits (SOC2/ISO27001)
- Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity testing
- Automate workflows using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
- Document infrastructure configurations and maintain knowledge base
- Collaborate with cloud teams on AWS/Azure hybrid deployments
- Provide Tier 3 support and mentor junior administrators
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering Windows Server and Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V) and container technologies
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls)
- Certification required: CompTIA Server+ or Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Experience with cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure management
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and scripting
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure
