Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments including virtualization (VMware/KVM) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, ensuring security compliance (CIS, NIST) and cost optimization
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios, Splunk, and Datadog to prevent downtime
- Develop automation solutions using Python/Ansible for deployment and configuration management
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute failover procedures for critical business systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab
- Document system architectures and create SOPs for operational procedures
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise system administration with Linux and Windows Server
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) with certification (e.g., AWS SysOps, AZ-104)
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash) and automation tool proficiency (Ansible/Terraform)
- Deep understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and security best practices
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across hybrid environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Linux+, MCSA, or equivalent)
