Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMWare, and Azure
- Monitor system health using Nagios/Zabbix and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks
- Manage backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery protocols
- Lead security initiatives including patch management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance audits
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex system issues and mentor junior team members
- Automate workflows using Python/PowerShell and optimize cloud resource allocation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years administering enterprise-level Windows/Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware ESXi/KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or Linux+) preferred
- Strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell/Bash)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Proven track record in security best practices and compliance frameworks
