Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file systems
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) including VM deployment, security groups, and cost optimization
- Monitor system health using tools like Nagios/Zabbix and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks
- Execute security protocols including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and compliance audits
- Develop automation scripts using Python/Ansible to streamline deployment and maintenance tasks
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex system outages and document all procedures
- Collaborate with network and security teams on integrated infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering Linux/Windows Server environments in enterprise settings
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification
- Proven track record of documenting procedures and creating runbooks
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities with complex multi-platform systems
