Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS
- Lead code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Mentor 3+ junior engineers through pair programming and architectural discussions
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate with Kafka message queues
- Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL/Redis) and troubleshoot production issues
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications using Jira
- Stay current with emerging technologies like GraphQL and serverless computing
Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Java/Python
- Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills with system design experience
- Portfolio demonstrating complex projects with scalability focus
