We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead weekend shift development of our next-generation payment processing platform. This unique 4-day/3-night schedule (Sat-Tue) offers exceptional work-life balance while tackling complex technical challenges in a collaborative environment. You'll architect scalable microservices, mentor junior engineers, and directly impact 500K+ users across 30 countries.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices using Go and Kubernetes
- Lead weekend sprint planning and stand-ups with distributed teams
- Optimize database performance for high-throughput financial transactions
- Conduct code reviews and enforce security best practices
- Drive CI/CD pipeline improvements for zero-downtime deployments
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming sessions
- Research and integrate emerging blockchain technologies
Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Go or Java
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization
- Strong background in financial systems or payment processing
- Proficiency with distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent written communication for cross-team documentation
