As our Weekend Shift Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining system integrity, deploying updates, and ensuring our clients experience zero downtime. Responsibilities
- Execute high-priority deployment cycles and system maintenance during weekend hours to minimize impact on business operations.
- Monitor system health and performance metrics, proactively identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks.
- Write clean, scalable, and test-driven code for new features and bug fixes.
- Collaborate with the Core Engineering team to align weekend tasks with quarterly business goals.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on the weekend team.
- Document technical processes and incident reports for post-shift handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Deep understanding of database management (SQL/NoSQL) and caching technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to work a consistent weekend schedule (e.g., Saturday & Sunday).
