Responsibilities
- Architect and implement microservices using Java/Spring Boot for high-availability government cloud platforms
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization using Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and deliverables
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and implement security best practices (NIST compliance)
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical workshops
- Optimize system performance using AWS services (EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB)
- Document technical architecture and maintain comprehensive API documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend Java development
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one (government projects)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and TDD methodologies
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with complex distributed systems
