Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using modern programming languages (Python, Go, or Java).
- Execute and monitor weekend maintenance windows, including database migrations, security patches, and system upgrades.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues that arise during off-hours or peak usage periods.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Security) to implement best practices for CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to ensure code quality and architectural standards.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system alerts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Availability to work rotating weekend shifts (e.g., Saturday/Sunday) as part of the support rotation.
- Deep understanding of SQL, NoSQL databases, and microservices architecture.
