Responsibilities
- Architect and develop robust, scalable software solutions using modern frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Python.
- Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from conceptual design to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, and engineers to define feature requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous code reviews to maintain the highest standards of quality and security.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure system reliability.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong preference for candidates in or willing to relocate to the Washington DC area.
- Proficiency in at least two core languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and strong communication skills.
