Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for high-traffic applications
- Lead incident response during night shift operations with SLA-driven priorities
- Optimize backend systems for 99.99% uptime across distributed infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical reviews
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for continuous delivery
- Collaborate with global teams via agile methodologies and Jira workflows
- Contribute to API modernization projects using RESTful and GraphQL standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development (Java/Python/Node.js)
- Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM EST)
