Responsibilities
- Develop & Maintain: Architect, develop, and maintain robust backend microservices and APIs using modern technologies.
- Incident Response: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of critical system outages and production incidents during night hours.
- Code Optimization: Analyze and optimize code performance to ensure low latency and high throughput for our global user base.
- Security Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards (SOC2, HIPAA) in all code deployments.
- Collaboration: Partner with the day-shift team to hand off critical tickets and document technical decisions for seamless knowledge transfer.
- Automation: Build and deploy automated monitoring and CI/CD pipelines to increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
- Language: Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go.
- Infrastructure: Strong experience with AWS or Azure cloud services and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Database: Deep knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Night Shift Readiness: Proven ability to work effectively during night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and maintain peak performance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Agile: Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
