Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve critical system alerts and incidents occurring during the night shift.
- Code Development: Design, write, and test code to support feature releases and infrastructure upgrades.
- Database Management: Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity during off-peak hours.
- Incident Response: Lead the technical response to outages and security patches in a 24/7 support environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation and runbooks for night operations.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with US-based engineering teams during handover periods to ensure seamless transitions.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go; experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Cloud Knowledge: Strong understanding of AWS or Azure cloud services and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) with consistency.
- Communication: Excellent English communication skills to liaise with the US daytime team.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
