Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust microservices architecture using Go and AWS
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers during night shift hours
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex production issues
- Develop CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate with global teams through asynchronous documentation and handover protocols
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards (SOC2, PCI-DSS)
- Contribute to architecture decisions for high-availability systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Go or similar languages
- Expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and microservices
- Strong understanding of database optimization (PostgreSQL, Redis)
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools
- Night shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM EST) and excellent remote communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Proven track record of shipping production-grade systems at scale
