Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js and Python
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers during night shift hours
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Collaborate with global teams via asynchronous communication tools
- Automate CI/CD pipelines and implement DevOps best practices
- Optimize database performance for high-transaction systems
- Document technical specifications and API integrations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in backend development with JavaScript/Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM CST)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
