Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architecture using Java/Python on AWS cloud platform
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers on distributed systems best practices
- Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and troubleshoot complex production issues
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Kubernetes
- Contribute to agile development cycles with daily standups and sprint planning
- Document technical specifications and create API documentation for RESTful services
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system incidents during shift hours
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java or Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and database optimization
- Proven experience leading technical projects and mentoring teams
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
