In this role, you will work in a quiet, low-stress environment while ensuring our digital products remain stable and performant. You will collaborate with a small team of night-shift specialists and communicate with day-shift leads to ensure seamless project transitions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software code for our core platforms.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts during night hours to ensure 24/7 uptime.
- Deploy code updates and patches to production servers without disrupting day operations.
- Debug and resolve critical production issues that arise during off-hours.
- Collaborate with the day-shift engineering team to plan sprints and hand off completed tasks.
- Participate in code reviews and technical architecture discussions via asynchronous channels.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and database management.
- Must be willing and able to work the night shift (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
