Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-frequency trading algorithms and risk management engines for equity options.
- Optimize database performance and data pipelines to handle massive volumes of real-time market data.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to translate complex mathematical models into efficient, production-ready C++ and Python code.
- Ensure system scalability, security, and high availability in compliance with FINRA and SEC regulations.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, perform system troubleshooting, and mentor junior engineers.
- Implement automated testing strategies to guarantee the integrity of financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on C++ or Python.
- Deep understanding of options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial, Monte Carlo) and derivatives markets.
- Experience with distributed systems, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
