Responsibilities
- Design & Architecture: Design and architect high-performance, low-latency trading systems specifically for Equity Options derivatives.
- Algorithm Development: Collaborate with quantitative researchers to translate mathematical models into efficient, executable code.
- System Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize code paths to reduce latency and improve throughput on our trading engines.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage and deploy cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/Azure) ensuring 99.99% uptime and security compliance.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and real-time synchronization of vast datasets related to market volatility and option pricing.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards across the department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on low-latency systems or high-frequency trading.
- Programming: Proficiency in C++ (required) and Python. Experience with multi-threading and memory management is essential.
- Finance Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial markets, specifically equity options, derivatives, and market microstructure.
- Tools: Experience with Linux environments, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
