Responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Go/Python
- Lead code reviews and improve CI/CD pipelines for production deployments
- Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) and caching strategies
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and architectural discussions
- Ensure system security and compliance with PCI DSS standards
- Participate in on-call rotation for production systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Go or Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- Proven track record of shipping production-level microservices
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
