Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough incident response investigations and remediation activities.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.
- Generate detailed reports on security incidents, trends, and system health for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SOC or security operations environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with security tools such as Splunk, SIEM, or similar log management platforms.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance if required.
