Responsibilities
- 24/7 Threat Monitoring: Actively monitor security alerts and events across the network, endpoints, and cloud environments during night shifts to detect and respond to intrusions in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, utilizing threat intelligence and forensic analysis to contain breaches and minimize impact.
- SOC Operations: Manage and tune SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to ensure optimal log collection, correlation, and alerting capabilities.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and malicious actors hiding within the network.
- Reporting & Documentation: Create detailed incident reports, trend analyses, and dashboards to communicate security postures to stakeholders.
- Vulnerability Management: Assist in the assessment and remediation of security vulnerabilities within the corporate infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; equivalent experience is accepted.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a SOC, Security Operations Center, or similar role, with at least 2 years in a Night Shift capacity.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM technologies (Splunk, Elastic, or Microsoft Sentinel) and familiarity with network security concepts (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional critical thinking skills, ability to work independently during night shifts, and strong communication skills for reporting findings.
