Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and fine-tune complex prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) including GPT-4, Claude, and Llama to maximize output accuracy and relevance.
- Conduct rigorous A/B testing and statistical analysis of prompt variations to optimize user engagement and system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to define AI use cases and user personas.
- Build and maintain evaluation datasets and scoring rubrics to assess the quality of AI-generated content.
- Create comprehensive documentation and playbooks for prompt engineering best practices within the organization.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in NLP, prompt engineering frameworks, and generative AI technologies.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues arising from LLM outputs to ensure robust, production-ready applications.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a technical role, with a focus on NLP, computational linguistics, or machine learning engineering.
- Proven expertise in designing high-quality prompts for LLMs (e.g., OpenAI API, LangChain) with a portfolio of successful optimization projects.
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts, data analysis, and experimental design.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and automation of prompt workflows.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct complex problems and iterate rapidly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, English, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
