Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response protocols
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
- Support security awareness training for internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with senior analysts on security infrastructure improvements
- Participate in regular security drills and tabletop exercises
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
