Responsibilities
- Design and optimize prompt architectures for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4 and Claude 3
- Develop reusable prompt frameworks for enterprise clients in healthcare and robotics
- Conduct A/B testing on prompt variations using quantitative metrics (ROUGE, BERTScore)
- Document prompt engineering best practices in our internal knowledge base
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt safety and bias mitigation techniques
- Integrate with MLOps pipelines for automated prompt deployment
- Present findings to C-suite stakeholders and technical partners
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on prompt engineering experience with production LLMs
- Portfolio demonstrating complex prompt projects (GitHub/Kaggle links required)
- Expertise in Python and at least one major ML framework (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Published research in NLP or AI preferred (NeurIPS/ICML papers)
- Familiarity with Pittsburgh's tech ecosystem (local startups a plus)
