Role Overview
The Senior Prompt Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and refining prompts that maximize the performance of AI models. You will work closely with data scientists and product managers to integrate AI capabilities into our enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design & Optimization: Develop complex, multi-turn prompt strategies to enhance the accuracy and coherence of AI-generated content.
- Model Fine-Tuning: Collaborate with ML engineers to fine-tune foundation models (e.g., GPT-4, Claude) using proprietary datasets.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct rigorous A/B testing to evaluate prompt efficacy and iterate based on quantitative metrics.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation and style guides for prompt engineering best practices within the organization.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly prompt architectures for non-technical stakeholders.
- Research: Stay ahead of industry trends in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Generative AI.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AI, NLP, or technical writing with a focus on LLM interaction.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and familiarity with libraries such as LangChain or Hugging Face.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to debug and troubleshoot prompt logic.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, English, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Location: Must be willing to work in Anchorage, AK (or hybrid).
