Responsibilities
- Develop and refine complex, multi-step prompts to maximize the accuracy, safety, and relevance of Large Language Model (LLM) outputs.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to integrate AI capabilities seamlessly into our web and mobile applications.
- Analyze model performance metrics and output data to identify bottlenecks, hallucinations, or inefficiencies in current prompt strategies.
- Train and fine-tune models using proprietary datasets specific to the legal and financial verticals we serve.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive library of reusable prompt templates and detailed engineering documentation.
- Stay abreast of the rapid advancements in NLP research, such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and Chain-of-Thought prompting.
- Conduct A/B testing on different prompt variations to optimize user engagement and conversion rates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in prompt engineering, specifically with GPT-4, Claude, or similar commercial LLMs.
- Strong command of the English language with exceptional writing, editing, and rhetorical skills.
- Background in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
- Experience with Python or JavaScript for API integration and data manipulation is a plus.
- Ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex logic problems within a generative AI context.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model with at least 3 days in our Dallas office.
