Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and iterate advanced prompt architectures for production LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, LLaMA)
- Conduct A/B testing and quantitative analysis to optimize prompt performance metrics
- Develop prompt engineering frameworks for multi-turn conversations and complex reasoning tasks
- Collaborate with data teams to curate and refine training datasets for fine-tuning
- Create documentation and best practice guides for internal prompt engineering standards
- Research emerging AI capabilities and integrate cutting-edge techniques into workflows
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt safety, bias mitigation, and ethical AI practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on prompt engineering experience with production LLMs
- Proven portfolio of deployed AI systems with measurable performance improvements
- Expertise in Python and experience with AI frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face)
- Strong background in linguistics, cognitive science, or computational linguistics
- Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow) for prompt versioning
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical prompt designs
- Knowledge of AI safety protocols and responsible AI frameworks
