Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize advanced prompt strategies for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4, Claude, and proprietary systems
- Conduct rigorous A/B testing and performance analysis to refine prompt efficacy and output quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate prompt engineering solutions into production AI systems
- Develop documentation frameworks for prompt libraries and best practices across the organization
- Research and implement emerging techniques in few-shot learning, chain-of-thought prompting, and retrieval-augmented generation
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt engineering methodologies and ethical AI deployment practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering or applied NLP roles with demonstrated portfolio of successful AI implementations
- Expertise in Python with proficiency in AI frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI API)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex model behaviors and optimize for specific use cases
- Experience with MLOps pipelines and CI/CD for AI model deployment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Deep understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
