Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize prompts for production-level LLM applications
- Develop prompt engineering frameworks for diverse use cases (customer service, content generation, data analysis)
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis of prompt variations
- Create documentation and best practices for prompt development
- Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate prompt strategies into AI pipelines
- Monitor emerging LLM capabilities and adapt prompt techniques accordingly
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt engineering methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in prompt engineering or NLP role
- Proven track record of optimizing prompts for GPT-4, Claude, or similar LLMs
- Strong understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
- Exceptional written communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with prompt engineering tools (LangChain, Hugging Face)
- Portfolio demonstrating prompt optimization projects
