Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and iterate advanced prompt architectures for large language models
- Develop evaluation frameworks to measure AI response accuracy, safety, and relevance
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into prompt strategies
- Conduct A/B testing on prompt variations to optimize performance metrics
- Create documentation and training materials for prompt engineering best practices
- Stay current with emerging AI techniques and integrate industry innovations
- Mentor junior engineers in prompt development methodologies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering or NLP role-building
- Expertise with LLMs including GPT-4, Claude, and open-source alternatives
- Strong Python programming skills for prompt automation and testing
- Proven ability to create complex prompt chains for multi-turn conversations
- Familiarity with AI safety protocols and bias mitigation techniques
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prompt implementations
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field preferred
