Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine AI prompts for large language models in climate science and logistics applications
- Conduct A/B testing of prompt variations to optimize response accuracy and relevance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate technical requirements into effective prompt strategies
- Document prompt engineering methodologies and maintain a centralized knowledge base
- Analyze user interaction data to identify improvement opportunities in AI response quality
- Stay current with emerging AI trends and integrate new techniques into existing frameworks
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt engineering best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering or NLP model interaction
- Proven track record of optimizing prompts for production AI systems
- Strong understanding of LLM architectures (GPT, Claude, etc.) and their limitations
- Experience working with climate science, logistics, or Arctic technology domains
- Exceptional written communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Python and prompt engineering frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face)
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
