Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize prompt architectures for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4, Claude, and proprietary systems
- Develop and maintain prompt libraries with version control, documentation, and performance metrics
- Conduct rigorous A/B testing and iterative refinement to maximize model accuracy and response quality
- Collaborate with ML engineers to fine-tune model parameters and optimize training datasets
- Create prompt engineering guidelines and best practices for cross-functional teams
- Analyze user interaction data to identify improvement opportunities and enhance prompt efficacy
- Research emerging prompt engineering techniques and integrate industry innovations into development workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Linguistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with prompt engineering for LLMs or NLP systems
- Expertise in Python and familiarity with AI frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI API)
- Strong understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical prompt specifications
- Experience with prompt optimization techniques (few-shot, chain-of-thought, retrieval-augmented)
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in A/B testing and performance measurement
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
