Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize prompts for enterprise-level language models (GPT-4, Claude, etc.)
- Collaborate with ML engineers to fine-tune model behavior and reduce hallucinations
- Develop prompt libraries and best practices for cross-functional teams
- Conduct A/B testing on prompt variations to maximize response accuracy
- Create documentation and training materials for prompt engineering workflows
- Stay current with emerging AI architectures and prompting techniques
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt engineering methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field (MS/PhD preferred)
- 3+ years of prompt engineering or NLP experience with large language models
- Expertise in Python and AI frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face)
- Proven track record of optimizing prompts for specific business outcomes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret model behavior patterns
- Experience with ethical AI development and bias mitigation
