Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure including Cisco routers, switches, and wireless systems
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds and resolve incidents within SLA requirements
- Implement cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Document network configurations and create disaster recovery documentation
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to hybridize on-premises and Azure/AWS environments
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior team members
- Conduct network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco infrastructure (CCNP certification required)
- Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and switching technologies
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN management
- Certification in AWS/Azure networking or CompTIA Network+
- Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues under pressure
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Security clearance preferred for government contracts
