Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise-grade network architectures including LAN/WAN, VPN, and cloud solutions
- Implement Cisco/Juniper firewalls, switches, and routers with advanced security protocols
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds/NPM and proactively resolve outages
- Lead network migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery initiatives
- Document network configurations and maintain compliance with ISO 27001 standards
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to fortify network defenses against threats
- Mentor junior technicians and conduct regular skills training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (CCNP/JNCIP certification required)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper infrastructure and SD-WAN
- Expertise in network automation with Python/Ansible and cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and network security frameworks
- Proven track record of designing high-availability networks with 99.99% uptime
- Experience with network virtualization (VMware NSX, Hyper-V) and SDN technologies
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with Wireshark and network protocol analyzers
- Valid NC driver's license and ability to travel to client sites within Piedmont Triad
