Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex enterprise network infrastructures including LAN, WAN, and wireless systems
- Manage Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet network hardware with zero-downtime maintenance
- Lead network security initiatives including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams for hybrid cloud integration solutions
- Document network architectures and create disaster recovery plans
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance for escalated issues
- Optimize network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (CCNP/JNCIP required)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise network administration
- Certification in AWS/Azure networking architecture preferred
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configurations
- Strong experience with network automation using Python or Ansible
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations with SLA-driven deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
- Valid California driver's license for occasional on-site visits
