Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable network architectures including LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless systems
- Implement advanced security protocols (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption) to protect critical infrastructure
- Perform proactive network monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Lead migration projects for cloud integration (AWS/Azure) and hybrid environments
- Document network configurations, create disaster recovery plans, and ensure compliance with NIST standards
- Mentor junior technicians and collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise network administration with CCNP/CCIE certification
- Expertise in Cisco/Juniper routing/switching and Palo Alto security solutions
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and cloud networking principles
- Experience with network automation (Ansible, Python) and infrastructure-as-code
- Proven track record in designing high-availability, redundant network systems
- Ability to manage complex projects and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
