Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and normalize massive datasets related to equity options, volatility surfaces, and open interest.
- Develop and maintain SQL-based data pipelines to ensure real-time data availability for quantitative analysis.
- Create advanced visualizations and interactive dashboards (using Tableau or PowerBI) to monitor market sentiment and risk exposure.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to design and test new algorithmic trading strategies based on historical and real-time options data.
- Perform variance analysis and stress testing on option portfolios to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Document data methodologies and statistical models to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the equity options or derivatives trading sector.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
- Strong understanding of options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial) and the Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta).
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
