Responsibilities
- Options Analytics: Analyze large-scale equity options datasets to identify trends, arbitrage opportunities, and pricing discrepancies in real-time.
- Modeling & Forecasting: Develop statistical models to forecast implied volatility (IV) and assess risk exposure for complex option strategies.
- Dashboard Development: Build interactive, high-performance dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to visualize Greeks, open interest, and volume data for internal stakeholders.
- Data Engineering: Design and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, clean, and aggregate data from multiple financial data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, internal feeds).
- Collaboration: Partner with the trading desk to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making regarding derivative instruments.
- Reporting: Generate detailed weekly and monthly performance reports highlighting key market drivers and analyst performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the financial services or equities trading sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R; strong SQL skills for data extraction.
- Financial Knowledge: Deep understanding of options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial), Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta), and market mechanics.
- Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik) is a major plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex data into clear business recommendations.
